fun pictures!

Halloween

This year Kennedy debating long and hard on what she wanted to be for Halloween. One day she wanted to be a butterfly, then a princess, then tinkerbell, then back to a butterfly, around and around we would go. It was a very important decision and one that she thought long and hard on. She would see a new costume and think that is what she wanted to be. So we went to the Halloween store and looked around. I wasn't crazy about any of those costumes so we decided to go to the Disney store to look at their costumes.

When we got there she made a bee line for the Minnie Mouse costume. And then she went for the Tinkerbell costume. She finally decided on the Minnie Mouse Costume!
Kylie did not have so many options or care about it at all. She inherited Kennedy's infamous little pumpkin costume!

The girls had so much Trick-or-Treating. Kennedy and Daddy walked ahead while Kylie ran behind as fast as she could. Before we left to go Trick-or-Treating, I explained to Kennedy that we were going to other "friend's" houses and that when they opened the door we would say trick or treat. And then we would come home and give candy to our "friends." She apparently jumbled it together because when they opened the door, she would say, "Trick or Treat, I have candy for you!" and give them one of her milk duds!

Kylie took a different approach she would toddle into their house when they opened the door. She especially loved it when they had doggies that helped answer the door. I cannot tell you how many houses I had to go into to get Kylie out of. I even had several offers for free babysitting!

All in all it was a blast! And Mommy was in bed before 9pm!

State Fair

Last Wednesday Brad and I had the day off together so we decided to take the girls to the fair. We had so much fun spending time together as a family. The girls loved it. They were both so well behaved. Kennedy was so excited to get her face painted again and opted to get a kitty this time.

Pumpkin Patch

I took the girls to the pumpkin patch in our neighborhood the other day. Kennedy loved it so much! She keeps asking to go to the pumpkin pound!

Kylie is in the stage where she loves to carry things around. She doesn't care how big it is, she is going to carry it!

Grapefest

A few weekends ago we went to Grapefest with our friends the Meierhofers.
It was a little warmer than expected, but we had a great time. The kids were all really good and well behaved. They got there faces painted.
Trevor got a bug on his face.

Kennedy got a sparkly butterfly.

And Caleb.....got this:

Had I not have intervened Kennedy would have got something similar because Brad and Michael picked them out! Kennedy loved the face painting and ask to do it again all the time!

Kylie's Birthday Dinner

On Kylie's actual birthday we took her to dinner with Auntie Jenn. It is our tradition to go to a steakhouse called the Keg. Both girls were so great the entire evening. Kylie had yummy food and got to try her first creme brulee! It was a lot of fun!

Summer Fun!

I'm way out of order, but here we go!

In August Brad and I went out to eat to celebrate our 5th Anniversary. I cannot believe it has been five years! We went to eat at a restaurant called Copper Creek.

Brad was headed to the deer lease and I was going to my nieces birthday party in Abilene. We had yummy food and a great time together. I got Brad a new iPhone and he got me two diamond necklaces.

The next morning we went to my nieces birthday party at the zoo! It was lots of fun. They had a little show for the kids with the animals. My favorite part was when they brought out a dove and my dad asked Kennedy, very loudly, Kennedy what do you do to a dove, knowing what Brad had taught her to say, thankfully we stopped her before she gave the Zoologist a heart attack by saying, "shoot it!"

On Labor day weekend I took the girls to my dad's family reunion. I had a great time spending time with my family. We took the older girls swimming in the lake and it was quite disgusting. I am hoping I never have to do that again!

Kylie's Stats

At 1 my little girl is very tiny.

Weight
15 lbs
27 1/2 inches

Kylie's Birthday

My little princess is one! We celebrated Kylie's birthday at our house with a small group of friends and family. Kylie's birthday theme was Princess. I made her cake. I am really starting to enjoy making the cakes.

Kylie got lots of great things. She got a swing from Paw Paw and Vonda. A pink ride on horsey from Nana and Poppy, lots of clothes from Auntie Jenn, and many more fun toys.

Kylie is so much fun! She is such a happy baby. She has learned to walk really well now. Brad says she looks like a velassa raptor when she walks. She is still very tiny, but I love my petite princess!

Listen to Kennedy

So the other day I was out shopping with my two favorite girls. I had Kennedy it the front of the stroller and Kylie in the back. Kennedy started whining and said that Kylie pulled her hair. I told Kennedy it was an accident and to stop whining. I then look at Kylie, who is smiling so big with a huge handful of Kennedy's hair in her hands. I guess I should listen to Kennedy and not just assume Kylie is innocent!

Catch up Time...

It has been quite some time since my last post so I will try to briefly catch everyone up on our lives!

Shortyly after Kennedy's Birthday we took both girls in for check ups. Kennedy's check was a three-year old check up and she passed with flying colors. Dr. Berry has been a little concerned about Kylie's size so we have had to take her in for numerous weight checks. The last time we went she weighed 15lbs 2oz. Dr. Berry was completely satisfied with that and thankfully we do not have to start giving Kylie formula! Praise God!

On July 16th, I completed my first 5k race. I am very proud of myself and cannot wait for the next one. On that same day my little princess decided to really start walking. She took about six steps. She looks a little bit like Bambi trying to walk, but it is precious. She still crawls quiet a bit, but I am sure that with more practice and confidence she will be off and running too soon!

This week I took Kennedy to her first gymnastics class. We were both so excited. I started taking Gymnastics when I was about Kennedy's age and I loved it. I knew that Kennedy would enjoy ever aspect of it. I took her to the gym that Nastia Liukin and Carly Patterson both trained at. It was so great! Kennedy had some issues listening, but her coach said she definitely had the skill set!

Now that Kylie is almost a year old, I will be returning to work full time as a Store Manager. My store is less than ten minutes away! I am so excited. Through out the whole process I was at complete peace. I can honestly say that this one of the first times I have let go completely and trusted God. I was not nervous one bit going into the interview. I knew that if it was supposed to be that there was nothing that I could do to stop it! And everything has just fallen into place. The girls are going to attend Mother's Day Out across the street from my store and we are so blessed to have the most AMAZING friend, Shanda, nanny for us. Shanda and I became friends at work at my current location and I cannot tell you enough how much she has blessed our lives. She is such a jewel. She has the best laugh, sweetest spirit, amazing faith in God, and I could go on and on. I cannot think of a better person for us to trust with watching our girls! I know this blog is supposed to be about my girls, but I need to put this in writing as a reminder to TRUST GOD!

Kennedy's 3rd Birthday!

I cannot believe my little turkey is three! She brings so much joy to our lives. She has such a sweet spirit! I love being her mommy. She is beautiful, funny, smart, and just perfect.

Things my little princess can do:
1. Kick a ball
2. Climb the monkey bars
3. She knows her letter sounds
4. She is learning to write her letters
5. Working on colors, to Kennedy everything is pink!
6. Swimming underwater
7. getting dressed by herself, not always matching, but it creates a lot of laughter!

She is 27 lbs which put her in the 25th percentile!

For her party she requested a Madagascar themed party! I decided to try to make her cake. It turned out really cute! She had lots of fun and got a lot of fun things!

Kylie is 10 months old

My little bug is still so little!
She went into the doctor for a weight check. Dr. Berry is a little concerned because she is not growing very fast. She only weighs 14lbs 12oz. Which is less than the 5 percentile. She is just busy. She would rather play than nurse. I really just think she is going to be very petite!

Fourth of July

On the 4th of July, we went to Meierhofers and swam. Kennedy loves to swim but makes me very nervous because she just jumps in. She has no fear. We had a lazy morning because Brad had to work that morning. He recently went back to work at Starbucks. I am trying to get used to the crazy hours. One of the good things is that he has a set schedule as far as hours go. Before he would go in around the same time but who knew when he would make it home.

When Brad got off we attempted to take some family pictures. It is so hard to get the kids to both look at the camera!

Then we took the kids to see fireworks over Grapevine Lake. Kennedy loves fireworks and she was so excited. After they were done, she asked for more fireworks and I told her she had to wait till next year and she said "okay!!"
